PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT

East Asia GE Commercial Finance Limited (the "Company") respects clients' privacy and recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information and data provided by clients. The Company has always treated such information and data with the utmost confidentiality.

The Company follows strict standards of security to protect personal data clients provide to or collected by the Company. The encryption software, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol, is employed when personal data are being transmitted or when services are provided to clients on the Internet. The Company also utilizes username/password authentication to verify approved users. Only individuals with approved logins within a company will be given access to your data at the Company's website.

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance ("Privacy Ordinance"), you are hereby given notice of the following:

From time to time, it is necessary for clients and various other individuals ("data subject") to supply the Company with data in connection with the Company's processing, risks assessment, and approving for provision of financing facilities and services and thereafter the operating of the loan accounts.

Failure to supply such data may result in the Company being unable to establish or continue financing facilities or provide financing services.

3. Data are also collected and reviewed from data subject and/or from other relevant sources on a periodic basis in the course of the continuation of the Company's relationship with the relevant client.
4. The purpose of which data relating to a data subject may be used are as follows:-
 
i.) the processing of establishment for financing facilities and services;
ii.) the daily operation of the services and credit facilities provided to clients;
iii.) conducting credit checks;
iv.) assisting other financial institutions to conduct credit checks;
v.) ensuring ongoing credit worthiness of clients;
vi.) designing financial services or related products for clients' use;
vii.) marketing financial services or related products;
viii.) determining the amount of indebtedness owed to or by clients;
ix.) collection of amounts outstanding from clients and those providing security for clients' obligations;
x.) making such disclosures as may in the opinion of the Company be required for any of the above purposes;
xi.) contacting data subject with queries regarding their accounts;
xii.) meeting the requirements to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on the Company and
xiii.) purposes relating thereto.
5. Data held by the Company relating to a data subject will be kept confidential but the Company may provide such information to the following parties for the purposes set out in paragraph 4:-
 
i) any agent, contractor or third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications; computer, payment, securities clearing or other services to the Company in connection with the operation of its business;
ii) any other person under a duty of confidentiality to the Company including a group company of the Company which has undertaken to keep such information confidential;
iii) any financial institution with which the client has or proposes to have dealings;
iv) credit reference agencies and debt collection agencies;
v) any person to whom the Company is under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on the Company; and
vi) any actual or proposed assignee of the Company or participant or sub-participant or transferee of the Company's rights in respect of the data subject or its business or any part thereof.
6. Under and in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Ordinance, any individual: -
 
i) has the right to check whether the Company holds personal data about him and the right of access to such data;
ii) has the right to require the Company to correct any data relating to him which is inaccurate;
iii) has the right to ascertain the Company's policies and practices in relation to data and to be informed of the kind of personal data held by the Company.
7. In accordance with the terms of the Privacy Ordinance, the Company has the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.
8. The person to whom requests for access to data or correction of data or for information regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held are to be addressed as follows:-
